Every year during Hispanic Heritage Month, Kansas City lights up with a one-of-a-kind celebration—Folklore. More than just an event, Folklore is a movement that honors the creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive of the Latino community.
This celebration is presented in partnership with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Wells Fargo, and Fresco Marketing, once again brought together artists, business owners, young professionals, and community leaders for a night of culture, connection, and pride. This annual event is held at the rooftop of Corrigan Station.
Folklore is unlike anything else in the region. It’s where vibrant performances meet powerful networking, and where cultural pride meets empowerment. The evening served as a space where the Latino community could connect with corporate partners, celebrate achievements, and strengthen bonds that last far beyond the event.

The Folklore Grant Program
At the heart of Folklore is the Folklore Grant Program, which invests $100,000 annually into Hispanic-owned small businesses.
Since its launch, the program has supported 30 local businesses, providing not just funding, but the resources and recognition needed to fuel growth and resilience. This year’s recipients continue the tradition of using their businesses to uplift the community and drive Kansas City’s local economy forward.
More Than Recognition—A Commitment
Folklore is rooted in the belief that when small businesses thrive, the entire city moves forward. By combining cultural celebration with real economic investment, the event reinforces the idea that representation and opportunity go hand-in-hand.
Looking Ahead
As Folklore grows, so does its impact. This event is another step toward building a more connected, empowered, and culturally vibrant Kansas City. The partnerships forged, the stories shared, and the businesses supported are all part of a larger mission: to celebrate entrepreneurship achievement and create pathways for long-term success.
